There was something he was supposed to be doing at that moment but he couldn’t remember…it was important he did remember that fact. Gabriel finished the last of the pixie sticks he had bought and frowned a little bit. Pixie sticks were his favorite kind of candy, the one muggle indulgence his father had let him have, and he was happy that despite the fact that he had grown up, that small detail hadn’t changed. He looked over at the clock on the night stand, 5:30. “Shit!” he yelled jumping off him bed; he had promised a couple of old friends of his, that he would meet them at three broomsticks. He was half way to the door before realizing he couldn’t leave his room looking as he was in his boxers and t-shirt. He knew his friends would be pissed that he was late and he couldn’t blame him, he had said he would be out at 6. He didn’t understand how time could have gotten away from him so fast. He sighed, before heading to him closet to pick out something to wear. It took him fifteen minutes to choose what to wear, and another five to put it on. He had decided on him t-shirt, a pair of blue jean.
He was running a comb through his hair when his roommate and his roommate’s girlfriend of the week walked in. , “Hey dude,” he said, “Don’t you have some place to be…like now?” “Yea…I’ll be out in a second,” he called from the bathroom, “I just gotta find my shoes.” He remembered he had kicked them off when he walked in from his day at the office yesterday, but he didn’t know where they went. He checked under him bed but didn’t see them there. He checked the closet, but didn’t see them there either. “Where did you go?” He mumbled standing up and letting out a sigh of frustration, before noticing them by the door. He ran a comb through his hair one more time and took a look in the mirror on last time before heading out the door. “Fresh as usual,” he said to his reflection. He laughed a little at that, and moved to apparate out of his office. Wait… he was forgetting something. Wand, “I’m out of here, I swear,” he said grabbing his wand and apparating out of there.
Gabe arrived at his destination a little before 6:00. “Yes!” he said out loud, and did a little dance to celebrate his victory, earning a few weird looks from the people passing on the street, and entered the building. He looked around, but didn’t see any of his friends around. “Just like them, to always be late.” He groaned. He didn’t even know why he bothered, his friends were always late, and it quite sucked. He sighed, running a hand through his hair, and walked over to the bar and sat down, ordering a glass of firewhiskey. He sipped on it slowly and let his eyes wander around the bar one more time.
