Professor Dumbledore helped the other teachers rearrange the great hall and construct the perfect dance hall. The decorations from earlier were still in place, but instead of their usual bench tables there were about one hundred smaller tables surrounding the outside. In the center of the room was an enormous amount of space for the students to dance. He was certain that the students were going to enjoy themselves this evening, supper had gone fairly well and now they got a ball. Inside of Hogwarts they were all safe, and he wanted to make sure they had a good time. Who knew what the future had in store for them? One thing was certain, their world was about to start getting scary. That was the main reason for doing this, he wanted his students to know that no matter how bad it got out there, they always had a safe place to call home at Hogwarts. As Professor Flitwick lead a final table to settle on the other side of the room Albus took one last glance around the newly arranged great hall. It really did look wonderful, he hoped his students would enjoy it. With a quick wave of his wand Dumbledore started the music, playing from seemingly nowhere. He figured that the perfect music for this time of year was the classical type, but if the students wanted something a little more upbeat all they would have to do was tell a teacher and someone would change it. As the remaining teachers started making final arrangements Dumbledore smiled from where he stood, soon the first students would be making their arrivals.
((OOC: This is the main ball thread. Just because this is the main thread does not mean you’re not allowed to create independent threads in the Christmas Ball board. We encourage you to do so. The Christmas ball is open to all students 1st year until 7th year, please keep it clean enough for younger members. Have fun!))
